Faux Outrage

Literally the most important blog in the universe since 2010.

Faux (adj.) [French, from Old French fals; see false.] Artificial; fake.
Outrage (n.) [Middle English, from Old French, from outre, beyond; see outré.] profound indignation.

Faux Outrage is a blog.

Faux Outrage is the embodiment of one of my (only?) core beliefs: that we owe it to ourselves, our culture, and future generations to document.   The irony of blog-as-documentation, of course, is that this kind of writing by definition get lost in the vortex of narcissism and pornography that we call The Internet.

But I’m okay with that.

Above all, this blog is an outlet.  I’m not sure what kind of outlet, but I suppose that’s the beauty of the blogging format.  I will attempt to be funny, insightful, and to write with a certain amount of grace.  That said, I’m not quite sure where this is headed, but I hope to see you there.
